Gene Langdon, 91, Town of Neenah, passed away peacefully surrounded by loved ones on March 23, 2013, at Cherry Meadows Hospice, Appleton. He was born on November 30, 1921, in Antigo, son of Fred and Betsy (Mortenson) Langdon. Gene proudly served his country in the United States Air Force during World War II. He was an avid outdoorsman who loved hunting and fishing, especially hunting out west, and fishing on Lake Winnebago and in South Padre Island, Texas. Gene also enjoyed feeding the outside wild cats by his home. He was employed with Kimberly Clark for over 40 years.
Gene is survived by two sons: Mark (Teresa) Langdon, Menasha; and Rick (Karen) Langdon, Neenah; three grandchildren: Aaron Langdon, Menasha; Brooke (fiancé Shane Smith) Langdon, Eagle Mountain, Utah; and Kristi (Jamie) Sanderfoot, Manawa; former wife and friend: Josephine Langdon; his late special friend's three children: Wanda (Dennis) Hase, Neenah; Theresa DeMars, Hortonville, and her children: Dan Jacob, Michelle "Mickey" Jacob, and Kristin DeMars; Pat (Mary) Rochon, Black Creek, and their children: Emily and Ben; and other relatives and friends.
Gene was preceded in death by his parents, a daughter: Betsy Jo Bauer; his special friend: Sue Rochon; and siblings: Duane, Clare, Nathan, and Myrtis.
In accordance with Gene's wishes, no funeral service will be held. A memorial has been established in Gene's name.
