Jean A. Roehr
Jean A. Roehr, age 74, of Combined Locks, passed away on Saturday, February 16, 2013. She was born on April 16, 1938, to the late Ole and Arlene Rosenquist. Jean was a graduate of Rufus King High School in Milwaukee and later received a Bachelor's Degree in Nursing from the University of Wisconsin-Madison and a Master's Degree from Marquette. She married her high school sweetheart, Kent Roehr, on June 11, 1960, and spent 48 years together. Jean was a member of Peace United Methodist Church, Kaukauna, and volunteered frequently in the health community. She was very passionate about music and education, but what she enjoyed the most was being a part of her grandchildren's lives.
Jean is survived by her daughters: Beth (Chuck) Sauder of Appleton; Sue Laughrin of DePere; Patty (Mike) Michels of Bloomington, Illinois; grandchildren: Lauren (fiancé Blake Jansen), Thomas (special friend Ali Vadeboncoeur), Mason, and Mitchell Sauder; Michaela Laughrin; Chris and Jess Michels; brother-in-law: Ron Roehr, nieces, nephews, and many dear friends. She was preceded in death by her husband; her parents; her sisters, Claire Dunkin and Lynne Jeffers; and her son-in-law, Mike Laughrin.
Funeral services for Jean will be held at 3:00 p.m. on Saturday, February 23, 2013, at PEACE UNITED METHODIST CHURCH, 2300 Wisconsin Avenue, Kaukauna, with Rev. Lucretia Fehrmann officiating. Friends may call directly at church from 1:00 p.m. until the time of service. In lieu of flowers, memorials to the American Cancer Society would be appreciated. To the family of Jean Roehr I was saddened to hear that your Mom had passed away. I received a call from Louise Eckroth who was our Dept chairperson in Nursing at WTCI . Jean and I worked together in the LPN program and she was always the life of the party.
As couples we would go out to dinner - our nursing group.then Beth moved to Sheboygan and she would visit me for Beth and her family lived about a block from me. I will miss her smile and great spirit. Please accept my sincere condolences. Claudette Forss Sheboygan, Wi

My sympathy to all the family of Jean and Kent. I started out helping Kent and was so comfortable around Jean. She was such a down-to-earth person with tons of knowledge. I just can't believe she's gone. I will sadly miss her at SPES and thank her for the short time I knew her. Sincerely, Val Davis
