Pickett, Jesse T.
Jesse T. Pickett, age 29, loving husband to Misty and devoted father to Brenna and Isabella, passed away December 8, 2013 as the result of an automobile accident. He was the youngest child born to James and Debra (Quella) on May 9, 1984 near Covington, Virginia.
On October 7, 2006, Jesse married his high school sweetheart Misty Weihbrecht. He was above all else a family man, with unsurpassed love and devotion for his girls. Jesse, Misty, Brenna and Isabella frequently enjoyed walks around the neighborhood, trips to the YMCA to go swimming and fun while taking family photos. His job as a Fire Prevention Specialist and Public Information Officer for Grand Chute Fire Department combined his love of working with people and desire to educate the public.
In addition to being survived by his wife and children, Jesse leaves behind mother; Debra Pickett, as well as brothers and sisters; Shane (Kerry) Pickett, Tammy Pickett, Wendy (Daniel) DaDalt, Brad (Melissa) Pickett, Amanda (Luke) Huston and paternal grandmother Eileen Pickett. He is further survived by a large extended family of aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins, and far too many friends to count.
He will be welcomed into the care of our Lord by his father James, maternal grandparents; Tom and Eunice (Krueger) Quella, paternal grandfather; Raymond Pickett and great aunt; Marie Loring.
Jesse will be remembered for his big smile, great hugs and larger than life personality. He will be honored by his fellow fire fighter brothers and sisters for the work he did as President of Area Seven Fire Inspectors Association, a member of the Wisconsin State Fire Inspectors Association, and an advocate for child safety.
Funeral services for Jesse will be held at 1:00PM, Saturday, December 21, 2013 at Valley Funeral Home, 2211 N. Richmond St, Appleton WI, with Pastor Degner of Bethel Lutheran Church of Menasha officiating. Visitation and viewing for family and friends will be held Friday, December 20th from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM and Saturday from 9:00AM to 12:30PM. A private family burial will take place at Highland Memorial Park immediately following the services.
