Wilson, Milton C. "Red"

Milton C. Wilson, age 86, of Appleton, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, September 25, 2013, at Oakridge Gardens Nursing Center. Milton was born in Mountain, WI to the late Mearl and Nora (Hycke) Wilson. He proudly served his country in the U.S. Navy during World War II. On November 1, 1947, Milton was united in marriage to Myrtle Junge. The couple enjoyed 60 years together until her death in 2007. He worked for over 30 years at Neenah Paper. Milton was a member of VFW Post 2778 in Appleton and also a member at First English Lutheran Church.

He is survived by three daughters: Sheila (Jim) King, Tampa, FL; Julie Wilson, Appleton, and her children Adam and his son Sawyer; Sara (Don), and their children Alexander, Andrew, Alizabeth, and Allie; Heather (Ben) and their children Alexis, Lydia, Neveah, and Maitland; and Amy Wilson, Appleton, and her son Johnathan; two sons: Randy (Barb) Wilson, Black Creek, and their children Jeff (Jessica) and their daughters Macy and Felicity; and Gary (Aimee) and their daughters Ashlie and Kaylee; and Todd (Cheryl) Wilson, Appleton and their children Nicole, and her daughter Elli; Kristin; and Tim (Karrie); brother, Wilfred Wilson, Ogdensburg; two sisters-in-law: Bernice "Dodo" Junge, Appleton and Barb Wilson, Marion. He is further survived by many nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his wife; his parents; five brothers: Ellis, Lyle, Loren, Ernie, and Delbert; sister, Valerie; and daughter, Kathy.

A funeral service will take place at 3 pm on Saturday, October 5, at the Brettschneider-Trettin-Nickel Funeral Chapel. Friends may visit at the funeral chapel on Saturday from 1:30 pm until the time of service. Interment will take place at Highland Memorial Park. In lieu of flowers, a memorial fund has been established.

The family would like to extend a special thank you to the staff at Oakridge Gardens Nursing Center for the compassionate care given to Milton.
