He was united in marriage on June 11, 1955 to Joy B. Malkmus at St. Charles Borromeo Catholic Church, Newark, NJ. Bill went to night school for some years at Newark College of Engineering to complete his mechanical engineering degree. He worked with several different companies in Auburn & Jamestown, NY. But he spent much time at Singer Sewing Machine Co. starting out in tool & die and working his way up to become the plant manager. For most of his career Bill did managerial and consultant work. The couple moved to Racine in 1977 and settled in Clintonville in 1986. Bill did consulting work for FWD Corporation in Clintonville for a few years until he started his own computer business in town. He owned and operated Micro Computer Systems, Clintonville, until the early 2000's. His wife preceded him in death on July 15, 2012.

Bill's memberships included St. Rose Catholic Church, the Shawano R/C Flying Club, and the EAA. Bill is a former member of the Clintonville Rotary Club and was active in numerous civic groups. He enjoyed building and flying remote control model planes, but he especially loved spending time with his family and grandkids.

Survivors include five children; Kurt (Alison) Linske of Guildford, CT, Lisa (Mike) O'Connell of Rockville, MD, Jill (Frank) Pribyl of Racine, Erik (Jennifer) Linske of Greendale, and Hope (Darren) Rice of Potomac Falls, VA. Bill is further survived by 12 grandchildren, one brother, Donald (Anne) Linske of Ambler, PA, many other relatives and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents and his wife, Joy.

A funeral mass will be held on Friday, January 31st at 12:00 Noon at St. Rose Catholic Church, Clintonville, with Fr. John "Jack" Mullarkey officiating. Military Honors will be provided by members of the American Legion Post #63 and VFW Post #664, both of Clintonville. Friends may call on Friday from 10:00 AM until the time of the mass at the church. Memorials may be directed to St. Rose Catholic Church in Bill's memory.

The family wishes to thank all the friends and neighbors for being an important part of their dad's life.
