CARL CASPER
May 14, 1914 to May 11, 2013. Carl died peacefully at the home of his daughter in Healdsburg, CA, just three days short of his 99th birthday. He was preceded in death by his wife of 57 years, Helen Marie (Boose) Tischler; his parents, Marie E. (Dreifort) Tischler and Michael J. Tischler; and his brother, Joseph Tischler. He is survived by his daughters, Greta L. Tischler of Rochester Hills, MI and Sally L. Tischler (Robert J. Newsome) of Healdsburg, CA; and numerous nieces and nephews. Carl was born in Cleveland, Ohio, where he lived until 1945 when he was transferred by his company to Pittsburgh, PA. In his youth, Carl was a tap dancer and an accordion player. His professional career spanned 48 years in sales for ITT General Controls. Carl was devoted to his family, his many lifelong friends and his pets. In his years as a Rotarian, he was named a Paul Harris Fellow and was recognized for 51 years of perfect attendance.
