Age 83, of Monroeville, died on Wednesday, February 19, 2014, peacefully surrounded by his family. Dan is survived by his loving wife of 62 years, Margaret; his brother, Richard; and his children, Patricia, Daniel (Beth), Mary (Mark), Thomas (Denise), Kathleen (David), Carol, and Christine (Christopher); 12 grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren. Dan served in the U.S. Navy during the Korean War, and retired from U.S. Steel after 44 years of service. He made us all laugh and will be dearly missed. Friends received on Sunday from 1-4 and 6-8 p.m. at the GENE H. CORL INC. FUNERAL CHAPEL OF MONROEVILLE, 4335 Northern Pike. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10 a.m. at North American Martyrs Church, on Monday, February 24, 2014, with Father Joseph Luisi as celebrant. Interment following at Cross Roads Cemetery.
