Obituary Condolences

Age 80, of Parks Township, PA, on Thursday, January 24, 2013, at Highlands Center, Genesis Healthcare, Brackenridge, PA, surrounded by his family. Born October 29, 1932 to the late Harry B. Parks and Cathryn (Roberts) Parks. Beloved husband of Rosemarie (Ignatz) Parks for 50 years; beloved father of Scott B. Parks, daughter-in-law, Beth of Johnson City, NY and Kristen Parks; son-in-law (Daniel Serafin) of Baden, PA; grandfather of Ryan B., Gregory S., and Heather R. Parks, all of New York; and brother of Marian Muder (Fred) of Hubbard, OH, and the late John "Jack" Parks. Friends welcomed by his family on Sunday from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. at CLAWSON FUNERAL AND CREMATION CENTER, 170 Main Street, Leechburg, followed by Funeral Ceremonies on Monday at 10 a.m. Entombment will be made in Greenwood Mausoleum, Lower Burrell, PA. Don graduated from Leechburg High School in 1960. He attended Penn State University. He served his country in the US Navy as a Naval Air Lieutenant and Pilot from 1953 until 1957, and he worked at his family's business, the Farmers Delight Dairy in Leechburg, PA until 1970. Don's talent in life was the development and management of various commercial and residential real estate holdings throughout the Alle-Kiski Valley including the Leechburg Plaza. Don loved to be at his shop where he enjoyed talking with his customers. He continued to work at his business every day until shortly before his death. Don was also a member of the Freemasons' Society.
