DONALD M.
88, Cranberry Township, Pennsylvania and South Harbor, Cape Breton Island, Nova Scotia, passed away December 21, 2012 in Chicago, Illinois. Husband of the late Nancy Wilson Kellough, he is survived by daughter, Linda S. Kellough (Gabriel Reisner) of Highland Park, Illinois; sons, Douglas "Tug" Wilson Kellough (Georgia Frizzell) of Hope, Maine and Donald MacLean Kellough (Edmond-Gilles Bolduc )of Saint-Jean-de-l'ile-d'Orleans, Quebec; and granddaughters, Katherine and Jessica Reisner of Highland Park, Illinois. Born and raised in Monson, Massachusetts, the son of George Kellough from Cooks Brook, Nova Scotia and Annie MacKay Kellough from Gays River, Nova Scotia. Donald Kellough served in the U.S. Navy, stationed in Hawaii, during WW II. With bachelor's and master's degrees in journalism from Northwestern University, Evanston, Illinois he worked for Better Homes and Gardens and the Saturday Evening Post. After several years in magazine publishing, he moved to Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania and into sales and marketing for Equitable Gas Company. He retired as executive vice president having held responsibilities in marketing, customer activities, corporate communications and government relations. Active in his field, Kellough was a leader in several professional and civic organizations including as director of the Pennsylvania Gas Association, the Golden Triangle Association, and the Greater Pittsburgh Convention and Visitors Bureau. In addition, he was elected president of the Bureau 1981 through 1983. The family will conduct a memorial service for both Donald and Nancy Kellough in Nova Scotia this summer. Memorial contributions can be made to the Nature Conservancy or Doctors without Borders.
