Obituary Condolences

Age 85, passed away on July 5, 2012 at Vincentian DeMarillac Nursing Home in Pittsburgh. Drusilla was born in Spring Grove on May 15, 1927 and was the daughter of the late William G. Hoke and Roxie M. (Bortner) Hoke. She graduated from West York High School class of 1944 and then graduated from Penn State University with a bachelor's degree in chemistry. She worked for Meadowgold Dairy in Pittsburgh as a chemist for many years. She also worked in the research lab at University of Pittsburgh Children's Hospital and as a receptionist at Presbyterian Hospital in Pittsburgh. She was an accomplished seamstress and enjoyed making her own clothes. She was also an avid Steelers and Pirates fan. Drusilla is survived by her sisters, Dorothy H. Delasin of Mechanicsburg, PA, D'Etta H. Tracey of Atlantis, FL, and Dona R. Warner and her husband, Maynard, of Hanover, PA; her sister-in-law, Nancy H. Hoke of Lebanon, PA; and many nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her sister, Delia L. Gladfelter; and her brothers, Denis W. Hoke and Dale H. Hoke. A funeral service in celebration of her life will be held on Monday at 11:30 a.m. at IRWIN -BECK FUNERAL HOME & CREMATION SERVICE PC, 175 N. Main St., Spring Grove, with Rev. Gene Edwards officiating. Interment will follow at Trinity Roth's UCC Cemetery in Spring Grove. A viewing will be held on Monday from 10:30-11:30 a.m. at the funeral home.
