LOFINK GERARD VERNON "JERRY"|
77, of Moon Twp., died on January 29, 2014, in Allegheny General Hospital. He was born in Stowe Township on April 27, 1936, the son of the late Raymond and Margaret (Noa) Lofink. Jerry grew up on Neville Island, served his country in the US Army, and earned his bachelor's degree from Penn State University. He retired from The Metso/Svedala (Dravo) Corporation on Neville Island, where he worked for over 20 years as an electrical engineer. He was a member of the Coraopolis Elk's Lodge and the I.E.E.E. He is survived by his wife of 53 years, Norma J. (Evanko) Lofink; two children, Renee Lyons, Denver, CO, Vernon Lofink (Kelly), Chippewa; two grandchildren, Harrison and Ethan Lofink; three brothers, Joseph Lofink (Nancy), Robert Lofink (Julia) and George Lofink (Sally); sister, Margie Laughlin (Gary); and a sister-in-law, Pat Lofink. In addition to his parents, Jerry was preceded in death by his brother, Raymond Lofink. Family and friends will be received on Monday, February 3, 2014, from 2-4 and 6 p.m. until time of Funeral Service at 7 p.m. in THE HUNTSMAN FUNERAL HOME & CREMATION SERVICES OF MOON TWP. (1522 Coraopolis Hts. Rd.).
