Of Moon Twp., died on March 16, 2013 in his home. He was born on January 24, 1926 in Pittsburgh, the son of the late Wilma (Beckfeld) Fuchs. Jim served his country in the US Navy during WWII as a motor machinist mate. He retired from the Pennsylvania Air National Guard in 1986 where he earned the rank of Senior Master Sergeant and worked as a data processing supervisor. Jim assisted in creation of the Retirees Activity Office and remained active assisting retired guardsmen until his death. His service and dedication were honored when he was inducted into the Pennsylvania Air National Guard Hall of Fame in 1998. He was also a member of St. Margaret Mary Catholic Church, Moon Twp. He is survived by his wife of 58 years, Wanda R. Fuchs; five children, Cheryl Fuchs (Gary Verban), Virginia, James R. Fuchs, Colorado, David W. Fuchs (Mary), Texas, Robert A. Fuchs, Moon Twp., Kenneth L. Fuchs, Moon Twp.; three grandchildren, Jessica Verban, Ariel Fuchs and Trevor Fuchs; sister-in-law, Marie Buck and family; lifelong friend, Leonard "Whitey" Boehm and family. There will be no public services at this time. A funeral Mass will be held Friday, June 21, 2013 at 10:00 a.m. at St. Margaret Mary Catholic Church, Moon Twp. with interment to follow.
