Obituary Condolences

76, of Harrisburg, died Sunday, July 14, 2013, at Holy Spirit Hospital, Camp Hill, PA. Mr. Andreyo was born in Pittsburgh and was the son of the late Michael and Helen (Biros) Andreyo. He was retired from TWA / Worldspan where he was a Regional Account Executive. He was a member of Holy Name of Jesus Roman Catholic Church where he was also known as "Mr. Music" for facilitating the musical program and playing guitar for the Parish's Summer Bible School, and where he served as a facilitator for the Parish's Bereavement Group. He was also a bereavement facilitator for the Survivors of Suicide Support Group of Pinnacle Health. He was a mentor with Big Brothers/Big Sisters of Greater Pittsburgh. He was active in the Catholic Charismatic Renewal Movement and the Pittsburgh Cursillo and Tres Dias Movements. He was an early "core group" member of Ephesians IV, an extra-liturgical Catholic prayer, praise and worship group founded in the early '70s, which continues to meet weekly at Saint Agnes Parish in West Mifflin, PA, and he later founded a similar prayer group at St. Therese Parish in Kansas City, MO, where he also planned and led Sunday liturgy with his family. He was a veteran of the U.S. Navy and was a drummer in a U.S. Navy Band jazz ensemble that was a precursor to the present day U.S. Navy Band Commodores. Mr. Andreyo was predeceased by a son, Matthew; granddaughter, Breenan Andreyo; and a sister, Lorraine Wesley. Mr. Andreyo is survived by his devoted and doting daughter, Christine Burton of Harrisburg; and five loving sons, Jim Andreyo of Pittsburgh, Joe Andreyo of Irwin, Kevin Andreyo of Reading, John Andreyo of San Diego, and Mike Andreyo of Harrisburg; ten grandchildren; one sister, Audrey Lesutis of W. Mifflin; and two brothers, Bernard Andreyo of Butler and Kenneth Andreyo of South Park. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Friday, July 19, 2013 at 11 a.m. at the Holy Name of Jesus Roman Catholic Church, 6150 Allentown Blvd., Harrisburg. The Rev. Keith M. Carroll will be the Celebrant. Burial will be in Resurrection Cemetery, Harrisburg. A visitation will be held on Thursday, July 18, from 1-3 p.m. and from 6-8 p.m. at the HOOVER FUNERAL HOMES & CREMATORY, INC., 6011 Linglestown Road, Harrisburg, and Friday from 10-11 a.m. at the church, prior to the Mass.
