Age 73, of Riverside, OH, formerly of Pittsburgh, passed away Wednesday, February 6, 2013 at The Hospice of Dayton. Joe was a highly respected systems administrator serving our federal government, working with several key agencies during his stellar career that has spanned the computer age from its infancy to present. He graduated from Mt. Lebanon High School, joined the Corps of Cadets at VPI (now Virginia Tech), was a U.S. Army veteran of Vietnam, member of The American Legion, St. Peter Catholic Church, an Athletic Director for St. Peter and SAY Soccer, and formerly on the Board of Directors of CYO. Joe is survived by his wife of 46 and a half years, Susan; son, W. Paul Cantelupe of Riverside; daughter and son-in-law, Mary Beth and Torin Snowden of Hilliard, OH; sister and brother-in-law, Cynthia and Sid McGinnis of NY; brother and sister-in-law, William and Jeanne Cantelupe of SC; seven granddaughters, Carissa, Kaitlyn, Tori, Kendra, Ashlynne, Graceann, Lizzie; and many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. Mass of Christian Burial 10 a.m. Tuesday, February 12, 2013 at St. Peter Catholic Church, Huber Heights, OH with Father Earl Simone celebrant. Interment with Military Honors at Dayton National Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the MARKER & HELLER FUNERAL HOME, Huber Heights Chapel from 5-8 p.m. Monday.
