NANCY J. HALEY Obituary
HALEY NANCY J.
Of Hopewell Twp., formerly of Salamanca, NY, went to be with the Lord on March 7, 2013, following a short illness. She was born on June 17, 1942 in Salamanca, NY, the daughter of the late Donald D. and Ida Rose (Folts) DeGroat. Mrs. Haley was a Cattaraugus County employee for over 20 years. She was previously employed at Corning Glass Ware, Bradford, PA. Nancy was a kind hearted person and an active member of Prince of Peace Anglican Church. She enjoyed volunteering for bake sales to support the church. At age 70, she regularly worked out at Curves, Hopewell. She was a devoted caregiver to her family members. She loved and supported her grandchildren by watching gymnastics, dance recitals and volleyball tournaments. Her other interests included baking, crocheting and reading. She will be greatly missed by her family and friends. Surviving are her two daughters, Tamara Thompson (Michael), South Carolina, Karen Bell (Dr. Richard), Moon Twp; four granddaughters, Rachel, Hannah and Rebecca Thompson, and Catherine Bell; four step- grandchildren, Patrick Thompson (Andrea), Andrew Thompson, Jason Wrona (Jessica) and Jacquelyn Golden (David); five great-grandchildren, Christopher, Ryan and Ashleigh Thompson, Lily Golden and Timothy Wrona; also surviving are many nieces and nephews and a dear friend, Anita Grandinetti. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a brother, John DeGroat; and a sister, Donna Vigliotti. Friends will be received on Sunday, March 10 from 1-4 p.m. in the HUNTSMAN FUNERAL HOME & CREMATION SERVICES OF MOON TWP., 1522 Coraopolis Hts. Rd., where a Funeral Service will be held on Monday at 11 a.m. Private interment will take place at Green Cemetery, Great Valley, NY.
