OLIN "JACK", Sr.
Age 86, went home to rejoice with our Savior Jesus Christ on March 28, 2014. He was born in Saint Cloud, FL, on March 30, 1927. He graduated from Saint Cloud High School in 1945. His roots with the town run deep, as his grandfather sat on the first city council. He served his country in the United States Navy during WWII. That love of country is carried on by his granddaughter, Alissah, who is a cadet at the United States Military Academy at West Point. While in the service, he survived the typhoon that struck Okinawa. He was a graduate of the University of Florida and a member of Chi Phi fraternity. Jack worked as an auditor first with Price Waterhouse, and later as the general auditor of Gulf Oil Corporation. He retired after working as a senior vice president and general auditor for Chase Manhattan Bank. He was a patriarch in the classic sense of the word and leaves a rich, godly heritage of family love. He is survived by his beautiful, loving wife, Margaret, a graduate of FSU. In spite of its mixed nature, this Gator/Seminole marriage lasted 58 plus years. He is also survived by his daughter, Sandi Quiles (Darrin) of St. Cloud, FL; and sons, Jack McGill (Kim) of Cocoa, FL and Mike McGill (Debbie) of Woodstock, GA; and his five grandchildren, Alissah, JT, Ian, Callan, and Aidan. The viewing will be held on Friday, April 4, 2014, between 6:00 and 8:00 p.m. at Osceola Memory Garden, located at 2000 13th Street, St. Cloud, FL. The funeral service will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday, April 5, 2014, at First Baptist Church in St. Cloud, located at 1717 13th Street. A reception will follow. Interment will be in the Mount Peace Cemetery in St. Cloud, with full military honors. Arrangements under the care of FISK FUNERAL HOME AND CREMATORY, 1107 Massachusetts Avenue, St. Cloud, FL 34769, 407-892-2155.
