Age 63, a 37 year resident of Neville Island, formerly of Groveton, passed away unexpectedly on Monday, September 30, 2013, at Allegheny General Hospital. He was born in Sewickley on Aug. 9, 1950. He married his girlfriend in 1976, beloved husband for 37 years of Jackie (Jacobs) Bolster; loving father of Brad Bolster of Neville Island and Veronica Bolster of Crafton; cherished brother of Kathryn Diday (Rodger) of Imperial, Carol Marchetti (David) of Groveton, and David Wright of Imperial; brother-in-law of Christine Belloma; uncle of Glenn Ellis, Carole "Suzie" Fernandez, Stacie Cope, Jennifer Herr, Tara Belloma, Jay Belloma, and the late Dennis Ellis, Daniel Farrell, and Paul Marchetti. Tom was predeceased by his mother, Katherine Farrell Bolster; and his grandparents, Loretta Frank Farrell and Wilfred Farrell. He proudly served in the U.S. Navy during the Vietnam War. A 1969 graduate of Montour High School, he had worked for Ryan Homes in Eighty-Four, PA, Pittsburgh Originals (a doll company) and was well loved by the Sisters of Felician Sisters Convent where he took care of maintenance and drove them to doctor's appointments, he also styled hair for R.D. COPELAND, LTD. Thom was a one-of-a kind character with a spectacular sense of humor, always making people laugh. The sidewalks of Neville Island and Coraopolis will be empty without "the walking man" with his headphones and short shorts. He will be deeply missed. A Memorial Blessing Service will be held on Saturday at 1 p.m. at Felician Sisters Convent, Founders Hall, 1500 Woodcrest Dr., Moon Township, PA 15108.
