Dennis Eugene Netser, 78, of Idaho Falls, formerly of Surprise, Ariz., passed away Sunday, April 21, 2013, at his home following a brief battle with cancer.
He was born Jan. 24, 1935, in Wellman, Iowa, to Boyd Moffit Netser and Marie Pettit Netser. He graduated from Wellman High School in 1953. He attended the University of Iowa and received his Bachelor of Science degree in physical therapy.
He served in the U.S. Army from 1953 to 1956, and the Army Reserve from 1956 to 1961.
He married Irene Aragon in 2004.
His enjoyed golfing, fishing, gardening and staying busy.
He is survived by his wife, Irene of Idaho Falls; sons, Nick (Bambi) of Jamestown, N.D., and Mike (Christie) of Surprise, Ariz.; daughter, Deneen Hunter (Joe) of Worland, Wyo.; brother, Gene of Haines City, Fla.; half-brother, Craig of Marion, Iowa; half-sisters, Barbara Womer of North Liberty, Iowa, and Bonnie (Scott) Romine of North English, Iowa; stepdaughters, Anna (Jorge) Canchola of Surprise, Ariz., Alexandra (Brian) Hapgood of San Francisco and Jessica Alvarado of Surprise, Ariz.; stepson, Alex Alvarado of Glendale, Ariz.; 11 grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.
He is preceded in death by his mother, father and a grandson, Jacob Nicholas Netser.
Funeral services will be held at 3 p.m. Wednesday, April 24, at Coltrin Mortuary, 2100 First St. in Idaho Falls, with a viewing one hour prior to services at the mortuary. Interment will be in Arizona.
