Estle A. Traughber Obituary

Estle A. Traughber, 81, passed away Tuesday, Aug. 5, 2014, at the University of Utah Hospital in Salt Lake City after a sudden illness.

He was born May 28, 1933, in Idaho Falls to Paul E. Traughber and Anna A. Winterfeld Traughber. He was raised in Irwin and attended school, graduating from Idaho Falls High School.

He joined the United States Navy and served during the Korean Conflict on the USS Bremerton 130.

He married Lexi Harden on March 12, 1965, and they had two daughters, LaRita and Tyla.

Estle farmed and ranched on the family farm all of his life, first with his parents and then with his wife. He raised Charolais cattle and hay.

Estle enjoyed spending time with his family and watching his grandchildren grow up. He enjoyed attending rodeos, hunting, fishing and he especially enjoyed attending the 137th running of the Kentucky Derby with his wife and daughters.

He is survived by his wife, Lexi of Irwin, Idaho; daughters, LaRita Dial and Tyla Traughber, both of Idaho Falls; brother-in-law, Lane Harden of Gillette, Wyo.; two granddaughters, Jessica Dial and Jennifer Dial; and two great-granddaughters, Lexi and Elysse.

He was preceded in death by his parents.

Estle will be greatly missed by his girls — loving wife, Lexi; daughters, LaRita and Tyla; granddaughters, Jessica and Jennifer; great-granddaughters, Lexi and Elysse; and the girls from Salon 720.

By his request, no services will be held.
