Lavon "Bonnie" Dumas, 82, passed away Wednesday, April 17, 2013, at the home of Mark and Tara Henderson.
Bonnie was born Oct. 11, 1930, in Salt Lake City. She was adopted at birth by Lavon Dumas.
Bonnie spent most of her life in different facilities, but in 2009, she became part of the Henderson family, where she spent the remainder of her life. Bonnie could always make people laugh with her quick wit and humor.
She attended school at Options and the Development Workshop. She loved to dance and sing, especially at the Festival of Trees. Watching TV with her daily Coke and Hershey's bar was her favorite pastime. Bonnie won several gold medals for bowling in the Special Olympics.
Bonnie was survived by Mark and Tara Henderson, JD, Ashley, Bailey and Hadley Bowen, Christopher and Tylee Perry, Carley Henderson, Conner Henderson, Emiley Henderson, "Grandma" Virginia Rozack, "That Old Man" Bill Rozack and many more aunts, uncles and cousins.
Graveside services will be held at 3 p.m. Monday, April 22, at Milo Cemetery. Arrangements are under the direction of Coltrin Mortuary, 2100 First St. in Idaho Falls.
