Paul Alfred Mailhoit, 53, of Blackfoot, passed away peacefully in his home Wednesday, Nov. 6, 2013.
He was born Sept. 1, 1960, in Framingham, Mass., to Henry and Joan Mailhoit.
After graduating from Willow Glen High School in 1979, Paul joined the Navy and was honorably discharged in 1982.
He married his wife of 29 years, Ruth Mailhoit (Lantier), in 1984 in Middletown, N.J. Paul had three daughters, Christina, Sarah and Sheila, and later adopted a son, Chase.
Paul worked as a mechanic from the time he left the Navy. Moving from Pennsylvania to Idaho in 1996, Paul began working for Western States Equipment. After seven years, he joined Idaho Material Handling, where he worked until 2011, when he began his final employment for Arnold Machinery.
He was an avid fisherman and a frustrated hunter. Paul enjoyed spending his spare time at McTucker Ponds with his closest friend, John. He treasured every moment spent with his kids and grandkids. He volunteered his time and expertise to anyone who needed a helping hand.
