John and Jo-an were teachers in the Marlboro Central School District. John taught the sciences and Jo-an taught second grade as well as reading. They were long time communicants of the St. James Roman Catholic Church in Milton, NY.

After retiring their passion was travel. They visited all the continents except Antarctica. They were able to visit all of the states in the United States as well. They set a wonderful example in their personal loves for their children and their children's children.
