Poughkeepsie - Richard Anthony Dell'Olio 84, a lifelong resident of Poughkeepsie passed away at his home on January 18, 2014.

Mr. Dell'Olio was a Manager for Lombardi's Market in Poughkeepsie until they closed in 1969, then he worked for Frank Lombardi at Lombardi Construction up until his retirement in Dec. of 1979.

He was a United States Army Veteran serving during the Korean Conflict Era, where he was stationed in Chicago. He was honorably discharged.

Richard was born in Poughkeepsie on June 12, 1929. He was the son of Samuel and Margaret Dell'Olio.

On November 16, 1996 in Hyde Park, NY he married Eileen Dubinski. Mrs. Dell'Olio predeceased him on March 11, 2008.

Survivors include his daughter; Karen A. Calderon of Poughkeepsie, his son; Brian Moran of Poughkeepsie, his grandsons; Brian, and Dennis Moran and Derrick Calderon. Additional survivors include his great grand children; Christopher, Michael and Kelly Devizio, Samantha, Jennifer, and John Scullion, Joshua, and Ashley Moran, four great great grandchildren; Victoria Peralta, Joseph Heagle, Evelyn Bebe, Veronica Scullion, a step grand daughter Terri Devizio his brother; Victor Dell'Olio of Gardiner, NY and several nieces, nephews and cousins.

He was predeceased by his brother; Samuel Dell'Olio.

Calling hours will be held on Tuesday January 21st from 4-8pm at the Michael Torsone Memorial Funeral Home, Inc. 218 Mill St. Poughkeepsie, NY 12601. Wheelchair entrance is located in the rear of funeral home on Vassar St.

Funeral service will take place on Wednesday January 22nd 10:00am at the funeral home.

Burial will follow in St. Peters Cemetery Poughkeepsie.
