Sutter III

HOLMES - William W. Sutter, III, 63, a resident of Holmes and formerly of Carmel, died on Tuesday, March 12, 2013 at Putnam Hospital Center.

Born in Mahopac on July 25, 1949, he was the son of William W. Sutter Jr. and the late Edith Vallillio Sutter. Bill was employed for more than 30 years by the Carmel School District, retiring as the maintenance foreman. He had also worked as a police officer for the Town of East Fishkill.

Bill was a member of the East Fishkill Fire Police and the Stormville Fire Company #2 of the East Fishkill Fire District. He was an assistant team leader for the Dutchess County Volunteer Fire Police Response Team, a member of the Dutchess County Volunteer Fire Police Association and a life member of the Putnam and Northern Westchester Fire Police Association.

An avid Yankees fan, Bill enjoyed traveling to casinos and to his timeshare in Virginia Beach. He especially cherished the time he spent with his grandchildren.

On July 13, 1991 in Brewster, Bill married Anna Marie "Tina" Consentino who survives at home. He is also survived by his father and stepmother, William W. Sutter Jr. and Marian Wallman-Sutter of Carmel; his sons and their spouses, William Sutter IV and Tristine Martinez of Hopewell Junction and Jeff and Nicole Sutter of Carmel; his former wife, Joann Cannon of NC; his stepdaughters, Dawn Manganaro of Pawling and Dana Fernandez and husband Miguel of Danbury, CT; his grandchildren, Tyler Sutter, Destiny Sutter, Matthew Stark, Billy Sutter, Alexis Fernandez, Xavier Sutter and Daniel Fernandez; his brothers, Ronald Sutter of VT, Jerry Sutter of Poughkeepsie and James Sutter and wife Tina of Union Vale; his sisters, Nancy Sutter of Fredericksburg, VA and Florence Murtha and husband Barney of Hyde Park; his mother-in-law, Gloria Consentino of Dover Plains; his uncle, Robert Sutter of Danbury, CT; his aunt, Evelyn Davis of Pawling; and many nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews. In addition to his mother, he was also predeceased by his father-in-law, John Consentino Sr.

Calling hours will be held on Friday from 2-4 and 7-9pm at the McHoul Funeral Home, Inc., 895 Route 82, Hopewell Junction. The Funeral Service will be held on Saturday at noon at the funeral home followed by interment in Raymond Hill Cemetery.
