Szymaniak, Alfred

Johnson City: Alfred Szymaniak, of Johnson City, passed away peacefully on Monday, July 29, 2013, at Willow Point Nursing Home. He was predeceased by his wife of 58 years, Dorothy M. Szymaniak; and two brothers, Walter and Arthur Szymaniak. He is survived by two sons and a daughter in law: Alfred W. Szymaniak: Vestal and Lt. Col. Michael & Lisa Szymaniak: Maryland; a daughter & son in law: Catherine & Matthew Ryan: Johnson City; and six grandchildren: Mark & Jessica Ryan: Johnson City and Heather, Michael, Ashley & Anthony Szymaniak of Maryland. Also a sister in law: Mrs. Constance Szymaniak: Vestal. Many nieces and nephews. Al was a member of The Church of The Holy Trinity, an auxiliary member of the Legion of Mary, and a member of the Nocturnal Adoration Society. Al was a veteran of the US Army who served during the Korean Conflict. A Funeral Service will be held Friday, August 2, 2013, at 9:30am at Laskowski Funeral Home, and at 10:00am at The Church of The Holy Trinity, 346 Prospect St. Binghamton, where a Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated. Burial will be in St. Stanislaus Kostka Cemetery. The family will receive friends and relatives At the funeral home, on Thursday, from 5:00pm to 7:00pm. Arrangements and supervision by:
