Nemchick, Carl J.
Carl J. Nemchick, 85 of Johnson City, NY passed away Tuesday, December 24, 2013. Born in Hazleton, PA he was the son of the late John and Veronica (Kontros) Nemchick. Carl served in the Army in the Korean War as an artillery squad leader. Prior to his retirement, he worked for more than 25 years at IBM. Carl enjoyed photography and was an avid fan of the Penn State Nittany Lions football team and a longtime Boston Redsox baseball fan. He was a devoted husband and loving father and grandfather whose greatest joy was his family's happiness. Preceding him in death, in addition to his parents, were his siblings, John, Steve, Frank, Vince, Joe, Tom and Mary. He is survived by his wife, Antoinette; daughter, Debra Williams, Vestal, NY; daughter Cindy (Aaron) Quince, Littleton, CO; son David (Kim) Nemchick, Castle Rock, CO; and grandchildren, Jason and Sierra Quince, and Samantha and Nicholas Nemchick. He is also survived by his brother, Matthew Nemchick, and several nieces and nephews. A Memorial Mass will be held Friday, February 7, 2014 at 11:00 a.m. at St. Margaret Mary Catholic Church 1110 Pennsylvania Ave. Apalachin, NY 13732. In lieu of flowers, please send donations to the
