Evans, David K.

David K. Evans, 65, of Binghamton, passed away on Monday, August 26, 2013, surrounded by his loving family. He was predeceased by his father, Cyril Evans; brother, Christopher Evans and sister, Judy Dumas. David is survived by his mother, Evelyn Evans; partner and soul mate, Mary DeAngelis; four children and daughter-in-law; Chris and Adrienne Evans, Jeff Evans, Karen Evans, Dan Evans; four grandchildren; Jaiden Evans, Andie Evans, Kamren Evans, Keagan Evans; six brothers and their wives; Howard and Carol Evans, Charles and AnneMarie Evans, Brian and Sherry Evans, Raymond and Sue Osterhout, Scott and fiancée Tanya Romain, Joel and Sheryl Evans; three sisters and brother-in-law; Lu Cox, Sheree DiMicco, Becky and Keith Bateman; and a large extended family including numerous nieces, nephews and cousins. David proudly served in the Army during Vietnam in the 21st Airborne Cavalry and took great pride in being part of the yearly Memorial Weekend flag raising ceremonies at Shady Shores Campgrounds. He retired from Vail Ballou after 40 plus years. He enjoyed camping at Timberline Lake, NASCAR, drinking Coors Light cans out of plastic cups at Mad Monk's and was affectionately known as always being "The Sponsor". The family will receive friends from 4-6 p.m. at Savage Funeral Home, Friday, August 30, 2013, 338 Conklin Ave, Binghamton, NY 13903 with a service and military honors at 6 p.m. at the funeral home with Msgr.
