Wood, Edward L.
Edward L. Wood, 75, of Binghamton, passed away on Monday, March 4, 2013 after a brief battle with cancer. He is predeceased by his wife Mary Lou in 2005; and four brothers, Raymond, Gerald, Richard and Horace. He is survived by his loving daughters, Doreen Galchutt, CA, Denise Holguin, GA, Deborah Wood, IL, Brittany Wood, Binghamton; grandchildren, Jonathon, Joseph, Morgan, Julianne; brother and sister-in-law, Luther and Hazel Wood, York, PA; three sisters and two brothers-in-law, Louise and Walter Spencer, Conklin, Shirley and Joe Yanalavitch, Luzerne, PA, Janet Wood, Wilkes Barre, PA; numerous nieces, nephews and cousins. Ed proudly served his country in the United States Army and was a member of the American Legion and the Elks Club. He retired from the United States post office and worked part time as a bus driver for the CV School District. He will be remembered as a kind, gentle, loving man with a big heart who loved his four daughters very much. He was loved and will be missed.
