Binghamton: Frank M. Acquisto, 82, passed away unexpectedly on his return flight from visiting his son in Texas on Monday, December 9, 2013. He was predeceased by his wife, Frances (Capalaces) Acquisto; son, Richard Acquisto; parents, Frank and Ann Acquisto; brothers, Peter, Joseph, and John (Larry) Acquisto; sister, Jeannette Winters. He is survived by a son and two daughters-in-law, Michael and Ann Marie Acquisto, Frisco TX and Anna Acquisto, Binghamton; grandchildren, Michael and Shana Acquisto, Amy and Anthony Gasperini, Lisa and Matthew Hund, all of Frisco, TX, Richelle Acquisto and Anthony and Stacey Acquisto, all of Binghamton; 10 great grandchildren, Taylor, Tanner, Trevor Acquisto, Michelle and Katherine Hund, Anthony, Anna and Allison Gasperini, all of Frisco, TX, Hannah and Santo Acquisto, Binghamton; sister, Katherine Winters, Virginia Beach, VA; brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law, Ronald and Marie Capalaces, Richard and Patricia Capalaces; many nieces, nephews and special friends. Frank was an Army Veteran serving from 1951 to 1954. He was an entrepreneur owning and operating many businesses including P.A. Paints and Acquisto Discount Foods. His true passion in life was his grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Funeral Services will be conducted Monday, December 16, 2013, at 8:45 a.m. at the James V. DeMarco & Son Funeral Home, 737 Chenango St., Port Dickinson, NY and continue at 9:30 a.m. in St. Mary of the Assumption Church where a Funeral Mass will be offered. Entombment will follow in Calvary cemetery. Family and friends are invited to call at the DeMarco & Son Funeral Home Sunday from 3:00 - 6:00 p.m. In lieu of flowers, Frank's request was to please consider memorial contributions in his memory to Scottish Rite Children's Hospital, 2222 Wellborn St., Dallas TX 75219 in appreciation for the ongoing care for Frank's great granddaughter, Michelle Hund.
