George Chipper, 90 of Vestal, passed away Thursday, November 28, 2013 at the Willow Point Nursing Home after a long illness. He was predeceased by his parents, William and Nellie Chipper; his brothers, Michael, William, John and Joseph; his sisters, Anna, Nellie, Mary and Olga. He is survived by his nephew and caregiver, Robert Picciano of Endicott; also many nieces and nephews. George was a US Army veteran of WW II, a retired IBM Endicott Manager and a very dedicated member of St. Mary's Orthodox Church, Endicott. George loved to hunt, fish, garden and make Elderberry Wine with Andy Komar and family. On behalf of George and Robert Picciano, many thanks to the wonderful staff of Willow Point Nursing Home, especially the West Wing, South 2 and South 3, for their compassionate care and kindness. Funeral services will be held Tuesday 6:00 PM at the Leon Pucedo Funeral Home, Inc. 1905 Watson Blvd. Endicott, with the Very Rev. Michael Kleban, officiating. Burial will be in the parish cemetery at the convenience of the family. The family will receive friends at the Pucedo Funeral Home on Tuesday from 4 until time of service at 6 PM.
