Saraceno, Gregory J.

Gregory J. Saraceno, 81, of DeWitt, died Tuesday April 15, 2014 at Crouse Hospital. A native of Endicott, NY, he has lived in the Syracuse area since 1958 when he moved here to work at General Electric. Mr. Saraceno was a U.S. Air Force veteran serving during the Korean War. He attended Harpur College in Binghamtom and was a graduate of the University of Arizona, class of 1958. Mr. Saraceno worked at Sikorsky Aircraft before retiring in 1998. He was a member of the Holy Cross Church in DeWitt. Mr. Saraceno enjoyed spending time with his many friends and his beloved dogs, Buster and Bubba. Surviving is his wife of 51 years, Susan Pickett Saraceno; his son, Anthony Saraceno of Dewitt; his son, Gregory Saraceno of Los Angeles, CA; and his sister, Antoinette Fiori of Endicott, NY. A Mass of Christian Burial will be 10 a.m. Tuesday, April 22 at Holy Cross Church, 4200 E. Genesee St. DeWitt. Burial will be at Saint Mary's Cemetery, DeWitt. Friends may call 3 to 6 p.m. Monday, April 21 at the Fairchild & Meech DeWitt Chapel, 3690 Erie Blvd. E., DeWitt. In lieu of flowers, please make contributions to Holy Cross Church.
