John Kulasza, of Endicott, passed away peacefully at his home with his three girls by his side. He was predeceased by two sisters, Ann Hale and Eva Hiza. He is survived by his dedicated wife of 60 years, Marion (Okoniewski) Kulasza; two daughters and sons-in-law, Kathleen Kulasza and her husband, Jack Harper (Evergreen, CO), Barbara Vaughan and her husband, Col. David Vaughan (Ret.) (Alexandria, VA); three grandchildren, Jessica Vaughan of Kadena AFB, Okinawa, Japan, Nick Harper of Dallas, TX, Lauren Vaughan of Newport News, VA; his sister, Mary Miske of Endwell; sisters-in-law and brothers-in-law, Eleanor and Tullio Dellacorino of Binghamton, John and Mary Ann Okoniewski of Florida, Stanley and Ann Okoniewski of Ohio; also several nieces, nephews and cousins. He was a veteran of the U.S. Army Air Corps, South Pacific Theater serving from 1942-1946, a retired IBM, Endicott employee with 39 years of service. He was a member of Sts. Peter and Paul Russian Orthodox Church, Endicott; the VFW, Owego; the American Legion, Post #82; and the American Carpatho Russian Citizens Club, Endicott. John was an avid downhill skier, golfer and bowler. He loved to travel and work outdoors. "His home was his castle." The family extends special thanks to John's caregivers, especially Ann Pralat. Funeral services will be held, Monday 12 Noon at the Leon Pucedo Funeral Home, Inc., 1905 Watson Blvd., Endicott with the Rev. Timothy Holowatch, officiating. Burial will follow in the parish cemetery. The family will receive friends at the Pucedo Funeral Home on Sunday from 5 to 7 p.m. In lieu of flowers, expressions of sympathy in his memory, may be made to Sts. Peter and Paul Russian Orthodox Church, 210 Hill Ave., Endicott, NY 13760.
