Binghamton: Joseph E. Kristek, 63, passed away Saturday, July 6, 2013, surrounded by his family. He was predeceased by his parents, Ernestine (Sweet) & William O. Kristek; brother, William O. Kristek, Jr.; and his father-in-law, Tony Pantalone. He is survived by his loving wife of 30 years, Joann (Pantalone) Kristek; son, Robert Simeck, VT; and daughter & son-in-law, Rachele (Simeck) & Manny Garbidakis, PA; grandchildren, John Garbidakis & his fiancée Brittany Church, Alexis Garbidakis, Hope Perez and Austin Simeck; brothers, Robert Kristek and William O. Kristek III; sister-in-law, Christine Rotella (Joe Rotella), NY; brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law, Dan & Chris Pantalone, IL and Jim & JoAnn Pantalone, FL; mother-in-law, Elizabeth Pantalone, NY; several nieces, nephews and cousins. Joseph was a US Army Veteran and formerly employed at Fairbanks Valve Co and was a retired employee of Vail Ballou Press. His greatest joys were spending time with his family, cooking and riding his Honda Goldwing Trike. We would like to thank all our family, friends, and Lourdes Hospice who have been so helpful to us. A Funeral Mass will be offered Thursday, July 11, 2013, 9:30 a.m. at St. Mary of the Assumption Church. Burial will be held at the convenience of the family. The family will receive friends at the James V. DeMarco & Son Funeral Home, 737 Chenango Street, Port Dickinson, Wednesday, July 10, 2013, from 4-8 p.m. Those wishing kindly consider memorial contributions to Lourdes Hospice, 4102 Old Vestal Road, Vestal, NY 13850.
