Podest, Margaret A.

Moscow, PA: Margaret A. Podest, 81, of Moscow, died at home Sunday, September 23. Her husband of 52 years, Rudolph A. Podest, died Dec. 19, 2003. Born Nov. 18, 1930 in Endicott, she was the daughter of the late John and Anna Adamick Wahila. She was a graduate of Union Endicott High School. She pursued a career in nursing and trained at Scranton State General Hospital. Before her retirement, she was employed by Adams Manor in Scranton. She was a longtime member of St. Catherine of Siena Church in Moscow. Marge was truly an exceptional person and will be dearly missed by all who knew her. She loved spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She and her husband, Rudolph, were the best parents you could ask for. She passed away peacefully. Surviving are three sons, Mark P. Podest, Rudy D. Podest and wife Marilyn, and John Podest; three daughters, Margery L. Schultheis and husband Louis, Michelle K. Podest, and Debra J. Mauger; one sister, Anna Kelemecz and husband Frank of Endwell; 10 grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren. Marge was also preceded in death by four brothers, Michael, John, George and Andrew Wahila; and her sister, Mary Parotte. Funeral services are private and will be conducted at the convenience of the family. Memorial contributions may be made to the NEPA Affiliate of St., Suite 305, Scranton, PA 18503.
