Mayo, Robert

Binghamton: Robert Ary Mayo, 66, passed away unexpectedly May 12, 2013. He was the son of the late Robert and Dorothy Mayo. He is survived by his loving wife of 47 years Sandra Mayo, his daughter Kelly Bean (John Bean), of Baltimore, MD, his son Christopher Mayo (Kristen Mayo), his granddaughter Kaylee Mayo, all of Binghamton, his grandpuppies Nola and Bailey and many close family and friends. After graduating from Binghamton High School in 1964 he served in the Marine Corps at Camp Lejeune, NC from 1966-68, where he made the rank of corporal and received the National Defense Services Medal and the Rifle Marksman Badge. Since retiring from Elliott Manufacturing in 2010, after a long career in sales and marketing, he enjoyed spending time with those he loved. He always enjoyed fishing, dancing, cooking and entertaining and always loved to try new recipes for his family and friends to enjoy. Bob had a charming and outward personality that made an impression with everyone he met and he will be greatly missed. The family would like to extend their gratitude to the Chenango Bridge Fire Department for their quick response and support. Funeral services will be 11 am Thursday at the Hopler & Eschbach Funeral Home, 483 Chenango St. Binghamton. Burial with military honors will be in Chenango Valley Cemetery.
