Reeder, Roderic W.

Binghamton: 83, passed away peacefully on Sunday, February 9, 2014. He was born on May 12, 1930 in Binghamton, NY to Alice Cole and Elmer A. Reeder. He is survived by his loving wife of 56 years, Gail, and daughters and son-in-laws, Karen and Bob Parahus, Congers, NY, Lisa and Gary Petcavich, Raleigh, NC, Sue and Tom Jastran, Binghamton, NY, grandchildren, Megan Petcavich Ransone and her husband Michael, Chapel Hill, NC, Kelley Petcavich, Raleigh, NC, Grace and Greg Parahus of Congers, NY, and a great granddaughter, Tinley Ransone. Rod is also survived by a brother, Norman, Port St. Lucie, Fl. and several nieces and nephews. He was a veteran of the Korean War, and graduated from SUNY Binghamton. He worked at WBNG-TV & WICZ TV. He was involved with CHOW & the Tabernacle United Methodist Church. He loved golf, football, the Steelers, a good debate and a great read. He will be missed. A funeral service will be held on Wednesday at 11:00AM at the Tabernacle United Methodist Church, 83 Main St, Binghamton, with Rev. Stephen Heiss officiating. Burial will be held in Chenango Valley Cemetery. The family will receive friends on Tuesday from 4-7PM at the Barber Memorial Home, Inc., 428 Main St, Johnson City.
