Floyd Hohn Obituary
Floyd W. Hohn, 90, of Johnson City, passed away peacefully on Monday, September 29, 2014. He is predeceased by his parents, Louis N. and Minnie (Evans) Hohn; wife and mother of his children, Mary Hohn; daughter, Nancy Ann Hohn and siblings, Louise, Fred, Oscar, Bob and Louis (Jim). Floyd is survived by his loving family; wife, Stella Hohn; two sons and their spouses, Thomas and Cheri Hohn, William and Sheri Hohn; granddaughter and her spouse, Jessica and Jason Flynn; grandson, Troy Hohn; great grandson, Aidan Flynn; several nieces, nephews and cousin. Floyd proudly served his county in France and Germany in the United States Army during WWII. He was a retired carpenter with 58 years with Union 281/277, Johnson City and kept busy as a maintenance worker with the Binghamton Mets. Floyd was a lifelong member of the Knights of Columbus, enjoyed camping, hunting and boating as well as bingo. A funeral service will be offered at 10AM on Thursday, October 2, 2014 at the J.F. Rice Funeral Home, Inc. 150 Main St., Johnson City. Burial will be in Calvary Cemetery. Friends may call at the funeral home on Wednesday evening from 5-7PM and again on Thursday morning from 9AM until the time of service. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations in Floyd's memory can be made to the American Cancer Society, 13 Beech St., Johnson City, NY 13790.
