Chuck passed away in the early morning of May 5, 2014 at his home in Sebastopol with his loving wife, Pam by his side. He was born October 7, 1946 to Charles and Sarah Ish in San Francisco CA. He spent his childhood years in the bay area with his sister, Maryetta. At the age of 17 Chuck enlisted in the Air Force. In the four years he served in the military police, he was stationed in Texas, Korea and California. After leaving the Air Force, he had a held a few different jobs until he was hired as a State Humane Officer for the Sonoma County Humane Society. He remained working at this job for 17 years until he realized his true calling, sales. Upon leaving the Humane Society, he became self-employed and owned CPI Distributing, distributing pet supplies to retail pet stores throughout Northern California, until he sold his business in January 2013. Chuck was known amongst family, friends, co-workers and clients as a man with a great sense of humor. His business card read "Chuck Ish 'Another Damn Salesman'". He was always ready to exchange a good joke or a hearty laugh. From abalone-diving the California coast or snorkeling in Maui and Florida, he loved swimming in the ocean. He also found his passion in cooking, tending to his orchids and keeping his beautiful backyard in bloom. He is survived by his wife Pam; his sister, Maryetta; daughters, Tara and Mauri; stepdaughters Christine and Sandy and their families; as well as his beloved dog Abby. In lieu of flowers, the family requests any donations be made to Memorial Hospice 439 College Ave Santa Rosa 95401.
