Passed away October 6, 2013 in Santa Rosa, at the age of 88. He was born in New Underwood, South Dakota, and made his home in Santa Rosa for the past 30 years. He served in the Navy as Yeoman in World War II for three years. He graduated from Spearfish College and earned his MBA from University of Denver. He worked for Housing and Urban Development for twenty-eight years, retiring as the Acting Director of the Western Region in 1980. During his thirty-three years of retirement, he pursued his passions for investment and real estate, and was a member of bowling teams and card groups. He enjoyed his garden and traveling with friends and family. He is lovingly survived by his sister, Ople Jorgenson of Wyoming, his children, Sandra, Gregory, Donna, Mark, Mike, Mary, Teresa, and Victoria Lamke, of Marin and Sonoma counties, by eleven grand-children, one great grandchild and many nieces and nephews and their families. Private family services will be held at a later date. Funeral Home is Windsor-Headsburg Mortuary.
