Entered into God's care November 18, 2013 at the age of 93. He was born in South Dakota and has been a Sonoma County resident since 1956. Edward served his country in the U.S. Navy during World War II. He enjoyed gardening, woodworking, traveling and spending time with his family. Edward was a life time member of the Carpenter's Union Local 751, member of the VFW Post 3919 and a member of Mt. Olive Lutheran Church for many years. He was preceded in death by his loving wife Alice in 2005 and son Dale E. Beuckens in 2013. Edward is survived by his son, Roger (Kathy) Beuckens; daughter, Barbara (Bob) DeCaro and daughter-in-law, Dee Beuckens. He is also survived by eight grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren. A special thanks to Edward's caregivers; Janet, Chuck & Maria. Donations may be made in Edward's name to Sutter Hospice. Funeral Services will be held on Monday, Nov. 25 at 2:00 p.m. with burial to follow at PLEASANT HILLS MEMORIAL PARK, 1700 Pleasant Hill Road, Sebastopol.
