Following a short illness, Eleanore Donna Wigger passed away peacefully in Healdsburg, California, on March 8, 2014, at age 98. She was born to Donna and Ralph Williamson in Los Angeles, on July 21, 1915. Eleanore graduated from Tamalpais High School, and attended University of Iowa, University of California Berkeley and College of the Pacific. She was a member of Delta Gamma Sorority. She married the late Rohde V. Wigger in Napa, California, on October 2, 1937, and they started their very successful family clothing business in Napa in 1946. Eleanore was a member of Napa Soroptimists, American Association of University Women, and The Native Daughters of The Golden West. She always loved a lively bridge game to the end of her days. The focus of Eleanore's life was her love and devotion for her family. She is very lovingly remembered by her children and grandchildren as the most phenomenal mom and grandma in the world. Eleanore was predeceased by her loving husband Rohde, and is survived by her daughter Donna Sauers and her husband Robert, and their children Carole Sauers, Jeff Sauers and his wife Christina, and Cathy Brown and her husband Marc; and son John Wigger and his daughters Kate Branin and her husband Casey, Stacy Chandler, and Stephanie Wigger; and her four great grandchildren Dylan Kattengell, Jada and Kaia Brown and Keeli Branin. The family greatly appreciates the loving care of Dr. Steven Vargas and the staffs at Healdsburg District Hospital and Healdsburg Senior Living.
