Felix Garza, age 92, passed away at his home in Santa Rosa on April 9, 2013. He was born in San Antonio, Texas on March 26, 1921, a son of Felix and Theresa (PeÃ±a) Garza, Sr. He was united in marriage to Betty Jane Kask on May 29, 1945. Felix served his country in the Army during World War II. Following the war, he worked as an electrical contractor, and later as an electrician at the Rancho Los Amigos Hospital in Downey, CA. Felix was a member of Immanuel Baptist Church in Santa Rosa, and was very close to his church family. He is remembered as a friendly, outgoing person, a loving husband and father, who worked very hard, and was a good provider. He is survived by his wife, Betty Jane; a son, James and his wife Jerry Garza; a daughter, Teresa Devine; a grandson, Eli Devine; brother, Lindy Garza; sisters, Trisa Hinojosa and Lupe Hearne; and many nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday, April 13, 2013 at Daniels Chapel of the Roses, 1225 Sonoma Ave., Santa Rosa with the Rev. Floyd Brandt officiating. Military rites and burial will take place at Sacramento National Cemetery at a later date.
