Passed away at home on May 3, 2013 at age 81 with his wife and daughter by his side. Frank was raised in Santa Rosa and attended Todd School and Santa Rosa High School. He served in the Army during the Korean War and was stationed in Alaska. He was a bus driver for Greyhound and retired from Golden Gate Transit in 1987. Frank loved riding motorcycles from an early age and was a member of the North Bay MC. He also enjoyed fishing and camping trips with his family. He was a very social person and never knew a stranger. Frank is survived by his wife, Ardis of 59 years; sons Rod (Kristina) of Florida, Gary of Yuba City and daughter Kathy O'Dell (Rodney) of Santa Rosa; grandchildren Jeremy, Jeanie and Amber (Rod), Ryan and Celene (Kathy), Amber, Shannon and Logan (Gary and Tamie); five great grandchildren; sister Jeri Stites (Bob) and brother Carl (Judy). He was preceded in death by his parents Frank D. and Erna L. Russ and brother Herman Russ. Graveside services will be held at a later date at the Valley View Cemetery in Covelo, CA.
