Glenn Alexander Dow, of Fairfield, died 9-24-13, at NorthBay Medical Center. He was born on 11-10-22, near Ft. Worth, Texas. He served in the U.S. Army Air Corps during World War II based in Pisa, Italy as a P-47 fighter pilot in the 350th Fighter Group. He was injured on a mission by German cannon fire, and soon after was issued the Purple Heart. After returning from the war as a 1st Lt. he married Marybeth Trewhitt, of Hanford, earned his business degree in 1947 from Univ. of TX and worked as an independent oil and gas producer in Denver for 32 yrs. He and his wife lived in Alexander Valley and Windsor for 12 yrs. He was an active member of Pacific Coast Air Museum and Sons of the American Revolution. Glenn was the son of the late Percy Alexander and Nell (Pierce) Dow. He is survived by his wife of 68 yrs., Marybeth, four children, seven grandchildren, and twin brother, Hugh. Services are private.
