Died on December 17, 2013 at 85 after a long battle with heart disease. Born in Concord, CA she was the youngest child of Frank and Louise Rose and enjoyed a happy childhood on the family fruit, walnut and almond farm. Jackie graduated from Mt. Diablo High School and following graduation married Robert Anthony Geraldi on June 16, 1946. During the following years she raised her daughter Bobette and volunteered at her schools. In 1957 she moved to South Lake Tahoe CA to work at Harrah's Club. Jackie often spoke of her time at Harrah's and all the famous people she came in contact with. In 1960 she returned to Concord and worked as a receptionist in a beauty salon and as a knitting instructor at the Park N' Shop mall. Jackie loved making beautiful sweaters, scarves and her traditional knitted Christmas slippers. In 1991 she relocated to Tracy CA and worked at the Tracy Senior Center organizing and leading day trips for seniors. In 2000 she moved to Santa Rosa CA to be closer to her daughter and made lots of new friends. Jackie was a past member of the Loyal Order of Moose, the Lion's Club and the I.D.E.S. Society. She loved all animals and her life revolved around her two cats, Natasha and Toot's Mom. Jackie enjoyed reading, knitting, playing the slots, bingo, shopping, travel and was an avid football fan. Every Sunday during the season you knew where to find her - she'd be in front of the television watching all the games. Jackie had an outgoing, bubbly personality and enjoyed life. Jackie is survived by her daughter Bobette, son-in-law Brian and grandson Brian Robert Benn. She is also survived by her nieces, nephews and other extended family. Jackie was preceded in death by her husband Robert Geraldi, parents Frank and Louise Rose, brother Myron ("Boots") Rose, sister Dorothy Allen, and sister Bernice Coragliotti. Jackie would also insist we say she is survived by her two cats and her "grand" cats. Jackie was a very strong woman and remained so to the very end of her long and wonderful life. She was truly loved and will live forever in our hearts. Friends and family are invited to her memorial service to be held Monday, December 30, 2013 at 10:00 a.m. at Daniels Chapel of the Roses, 1225 Sonoma Ave., Santa Rosa. Burial will immediately follow at 1:00 p.m. at the Queen of Heaven Cemetery, Lafayette, CA. Memorial donations may be made to the Sonoma County Humane Society, Tony La Russa's ARF, Forgotten Felines or any local animal shelter.
