Passed on peacefully into the Arms of His Lord on Friday, January 4, 2013 at the Veterans Home of Yountville, CA. John was born in Atlantic City, N.J. on July 4th, 1931, son of the late Catherine and Edward Walls of Ventnor. John graduated Holy Spirit High School Class of 1949 and after receiving offers for baseball scholarships from various college and even major teams, decided to attend Drexel University for a year, followed by two years of service in the U.S. Marine Corps. John completed his education at LaSalle University and upon graduation went to work as an Engineer and Physicist for NAFEC in Pomona, NJ for a period of 30 years, retiring in 1989 John loved fishing, hunting, woodworking, his travel across the country with Betty, and his Irish music. John is survived by his beloved wife Betty of Windsor, CA. Also surviving him are his three sons, John Walls, Robert Walls, and Steven Walls (Heather) and two much loved grandchildren, Morgan and Owen Walls. John is also survived by his four stepchildren, Frank, Paul (Kathy), Patty McSorley and Maureen (Ed) Brady and 12 step-grandchildren, all who loved their "Pop Pop" deeply. Finally, John is survived by four brothers, Joseph (Janet), Thomas (Rosanne), Daniel (Helen) and Jim (Loretta) Walls and sister-in-law Kathy, as well as many nieces and nephews, all who will miss him dearly.
