Passed away peacefully at home after a long illness May 14, 2014 at the age of 80. He was born November 20, 1933 in New Hampshire. He entered the Air Force in 1952, traveled the world and had a long career, retiring as a Master Sergeant after 22 years of service. After retirement, he moved to Fresno, CA and was self-employed for many years as a small engine mechanic. He was a man who never really retired. He worked various jobs including golf course marshal, blood bank maintenance, restaurant host, and he still had time nearly every day to play golf. Three years ago, he moved to Rohnert Park to be closer to family. Joe leaves behind his wife of 31 years, Shirley. He is the beloved father of daughters Sharon Yell (Dan) of Middletown, Linda Nunes (Bob) of Ben Lomand, and Carolyn Torre (Ken) of Petaluma, and sons Joe Corbin (Kathy) of Santa Rosa, and Kenneth Fournell of Eureka. He is treasured grandfather of Robert Nunes, Tashana (Anthony) D'Amico, Eric Yell, Nick Corbin, Kyle Corbin, Thomas Corbin, Nicole Torre, Chris Fournell, and Myriah Fournell. He is great-grandfather to Giovanni and Bella. He is also survived by his brother Leo Corbin and several nieces and nephews in New Hampshire. He will be missed by many. A memorial service will held at Santa Rosa Memorial Park on May 24, 2014 at 1:00. Inurnment with military honors to follow. Memorial donations may be made to
