Passed away July 27, 2013 from kidney failure. Joe was born on August 18, 1918 to Giovanni and Angelina Rocco. He was the youngest of six children. Joe married his high school sweetheart, Edith Wolcott in 1939. Joe was preceded in death by Edith in 1998 and by his son-in-law Warren G. Dutton Jr. in 2001. Both Joe and Edith were natives of Santa Rosa and raised their two children here. Joe is survived by his two children Bruce Rocco and daughter-in-law Sandra and Gail Dutton and son-in-law Edward Peterson. Joe was a painting contractor and owned Rocco Painting, his son and now his grandson Glen (Teri) Rocco, carry on the family business. His granddaughter is Dayna (Glenn) Meyers who lives in San Rafael. Joe's daughter and her two sons, Steven (Theresa) and Joseph (Tracy) own Dutton Ranch. After Joe retired from painting he spent many hours fishing, hunting and traveling in his motor home with Edith. Joe loved to Bar-B-Que for many functions at Dutton Ranch; such as the Russian River Valley Wine Growers, Fulton 500, and the Sunshine Rotary Club of Sebastopol, which he was an honorary member. He also enjoyed his many lunches with the West Side Gang. Joe is also survived by his great grandchildren; Hayley Rocco, Zac and Cole Meyers, Kyndall, Kylie, Karmen, Jordan and Jake Dutton. Joe is also survived by his oldest and dearest friend, Paul Pasero. Funeral Service will by held at 1:00 p.m. on Friday, August 2, 2013 at Eggen & Lance Chapel, 1540 Mendocino Ave. in Santa Rosa.
