Passed away on April 26, 2013 at his son's home in Windsor, CA. Born in Berkeley, Ca. April 23, 1928, Ken the 4th child of six siblings: Margaret, Marvin, Leland and Maureen and preceded in death by oldest brother Arthur. He attended Catholic grammar schools in Berkeley and North Oakland and graduated from St. Mary's College High School in Albany in 1946. He enlisted in the Army in 1946 and served in the Occupation Army of Japan for two years. Upon his return, he began his career as a banker for American Trust Co. which later merged with Wells Fargo. He moved to Santa Rosa and became branch manager at Wells Fargo Plaza Office in 1964. He married Clare Boyter in Oakland July 9, 1949 and this happy marriage lasted for 63 years until his death. Ken retired from Wells Fargo Bank when he was 60 yrs. old after 40 years as a banker. Ken and Clare spent many wonderful years at their cabin "Prior's Perch" in Cazadero, Ca. Ken loved playing golf with family and the many friends he made over the years through banking, golf, and the Rotary Club. He and Clare traveled all over California and many states in their RV. They would spend winter in Mesa, AZ and summer in Graeagle, Ca. He leaves his wife Clare, two sons, Robert (Bobby) and his wife Mary, Dennis (Denny) and his wife Juli, four grandchildren, Salomon, Ken, Kathryn, Nicole, and three great-grandsons, Cristian, Nicolas, Zachary. Family and friends are invited to attend a Memorial Mass in celebration of Ken's life on Thursday May 9th at 10:30 a.m. at St. Eugene's Cathedral, 2323 Montgomery Drive, Santa Rosa, CA. Private inurnment Calvary Catholic Cemetery, Santa Rosa, CA. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in Ken's name to Catholic Charities, PO Box 4900, Santa Rosa, CA 95402.
