In the early hours of April 6, 2013 Lou was taken into the arms of the Lord. Lou was born on November 7, 1929 in a small farming community in Minnesota. In his early teens, his family relocated to Prescott Arizona where he graduated from Prescott High School. He attended Arizona State University then enlisted in the Navy honorably serving his country during the Korean War. When he safely returned Lou attended the University of Arizona where he earned a Civil Engineering Degree with honors. His career took him all over the country and the world. It was during these travels that he met his life long partner and wife of 55 years, Mary Elizabeth. Lou was a man whose Faith in Jesus was his cornerstone. Lou's guiding principles were integrity, fairness and loyalty. He was a man with an easy smile who was slow to anger and quick to forgive. Lou traveled the world, enjoyed the outdoors, a passionate golfer and who keenly followed his San Francisco Giants. Lou is survived by his wife Mary Elizabeth, his two sisters, Marjorie and Erna his two sons David and Mark, their wives Fiona and Kelly and four loving grandchildren, Ian, Thomas, Kelsey and Calvin. A celebration of Lou's life will be held on April 20 at 11:00 a.m. at St Johns Lutheran Church at 455 McNear Ave in Petaluma, CA. In lieu of flowers the family would prefer donations be made to the Alzheimers/ Parkinsons/ Dementia research program of your choice or St Johns Lutheran Church. You will always be in our hearts Louis.
